Yep, ever been on that there eBay looked at a vague title, squinted at an out of focus photo, then sat back and said 'oh yeah, i know what that is!'

And you were right of course, right up to the point where you open the package and go 'oh!... it's something else!!'

Needless to say, this has just happened to me and this is what i won:

I thought it was a 40s SS, it certainly looked like one, but it's not - sorta! According to this website:

it's actually a Rocket 'Parat' - the only question is, did i do good?

Wonderful score. I've got a flare-tip rocket and it's one of my favorite shavers- I'm sure yours will shave great too, and it looks to be in really great shape with the case!

If it was a Parat ( and you would have done well ) , it's now a cased Rocket HD/Doublering/#59/500 ( even better ) ....

The 40's Rocket and English made Parat are two of the most amazing razors...the mechanism works so well, incredible fit and workmanship! A nice easy going, consistant shave too!!
