What's new

Ok What did I buy now?

I'd suggest trying the baking soda and Al foil trick, first. If it's silver plated, that will remove the tarnish without removing any of the silver.

Ball End Old Type, but in looking at the pictures, it appears that some of the teeth in upper right of this picture are just straight up bent. It looks this way in another picture too, so I don't think it's a shadow. Take a pretty good look at it before you shave... MAAS will clean it up, though!

Looks like it has a rusty, broken blade in it. Be really careful - handle the head only by the ends, or get the seller to take the blade out!

Yeah, it looks like one of the corner teeth is slightly bent up. The picture below shows it a bit better I think. It doesn't look like it'd be too hard to gently urge it back into its proper place, but it's definitely something to be careful with. Too much too quickly and it'll snap right off.

As for the razor itself, it looks like a post-patent (1921-1929) model to me. The handle looks to be silver plate but the head is likely nickel.

Any idea what the best way to straighten the tooth/teeth would be? And which is the better polish Maas or Flitz ?

I've only tried to straighten out one bent tooth. I can tell you that no matter how tempting taking the top cap of the razor and putting it between teeth to gently pry looks, don't do it. You just break teeth off and sell your razor on ebay for 99 cents.

As for Flitz or Maas, I've only used Maas, but it has worked very well for me and at 4 dollars, it's a pretty good deal. I picked mine up at Ace Hardware.
