A Feather.

Three days at a cabin, still snow on the ground. The water hadn't been turned on yet.

I wasn't feeling the shave out of a bowl with water from a kettle so I just let it bush out.

After getting home today and having a hot shower, only a Feather could mow down that kind half beard.

Three passes and a little touch up.

I think I crushed the blade though. Back to Spoilers for me now.

Having options rocks.

If I had to do that much clean up with a cartridge I would have had to use clippers first.

I have the kind of crazy fast beard that looks like I didn't shave at all by 10am. Pale skin and wiry black beard.

Can't wait to go back to camp when the ground thaws and water is running. I'll bring some Feathers just in case...

I used a razor like a Tech. It's a three piece Personna I got recently. It came to me on a light weight narrow handle. The cap and bottom plate are very heavy though. Plated brass or steel. I'm not sure really. I used my TiTan UFO handle with it and enjoyed using it.

I actually just put the last Personna 74 in it I had out of an open dispenser I've been using one at a time for the past few years. So a Personna razor and a Personna 74 blade. We'll see how long I can stand it.

I really prefer super sharp blades in a Tech or similar, and in a slant. I don't care for them in open comb razors.

A blade I haven't seen around in a while is KAI. They are similar to Feathers and I have a few stashed away I may dig out.

For the curious, here's some pics of the Personna razor I used. ((pictures from the previous owner showing the original handle)) It's pretty nice, but turning out to be finicky about angle. Not as finicky as an AS D1, but similar. The best feature besides the clean lines and nice finish is the cap covers the blades end to end. No tabs sticking out!!
