After Shave Balms with Tea Tree oil?

My skin seems to like Tea Tree oil and I'm wondering if there are any Balms that are loaded with the stuff?

Thanks in advance!

personally, i put a drop or two of tea tree oil in my palm and then a squirt of moisturizer. rub them together and voilla!

tea tree oil is also verrry nice when cut with witch hazel. feels fantastic.

I agree with that line a thousand percent. I had a big problem with aqua velva musk being as strong as it was, so I added witch hazel and tea tree oil to the mix to lighten the scent without reducing the effectiveness of the splash. I can tell you that bottle of aqua velva musk now smells amazing, and leaves the face feeling better than ever.

Not sure about balm, but Sally's has a nice men's tea tree oil shampoo that I really like. I would like to try a tea tree oil balm myself:thumbup1:

I use Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Special shampoo, and I think Sally's has the white-bottle "generic" knock-off (which I'll be buying when my current large-size original bottle is done). I love the stuff, and lather my face with it in the shower as pre-shave prep.

I got a bottle of Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Hair and Body Conditioner several years ago. It might answer for a post-shave balm.

I got the American *Classic* men's grooming products - Tea tree shampoo in a 9 fl. oz.tube from Sally's. Not sure if it's the generic same ? It makes my hair feel like it was shampooed at the hair dresser's. :thumbup1:

I realize this is a late answer to an old post, but Paul Mitchell's Hair and Body moisturizer is indeed the answer. It is fantastic! I would like to find a tea tree lotion/splash to put on before it though

Make your own:

4 oz Witch hazel
three drops lavender
three drops neem oil
four drops tea tree oil.

Put it all in a plastic squeeze bottle; your face will thank you for it. I call it Padraig's Irish Brigade ;^)

Personally, I loath the smell of tea tree oil, but SWMBO buy Melaleuca and I know their whole thing is tea tree. Point being they have their Alloy line of men's products, and I don't mind the ASB as it doesn't have that awful smell.

This thread needs an update.

I use Suavecito Eucalyptus & Tea Tree Aftershave Balm after applying an alcohol-based aftershave. It's affordable and has a good, moisturizing formula. It goes on a little oily, but absorbs quickly, leaving my face feeling smooth. The eucalyptus and tea tree give it a noticable scent, but that fades quickly and does not clash with my aftershave for long. I typically apply the provebial "pea sized drop" to my entire face twice per day; once after shaving and once before bed. The tea tree oil seems to tamp down my mild rosacea.

The one knock I have against it is that it aggravates weepers and cuts. I've noticed that some post-shave balms will make cuts bleed again that had stopped. The Suavecito is not the worst offender and rarely causes a problem.

In the UK Boots do a whole range of Tea Tree & Witch Hazel products - the toner works well as a splash but I usually mix it with a little moisturiser or unscented balm in my hands to create a sort of light milk. Works for me.
