Aerator for Proraso large bottle worth it?

Hello gentlemen. I was going to solicit your oppinions as to whether the atomizer that you can get for the Proraso large bottle is worth it or not? I have used the smaller bottle and found the flow limiter on it to be excellent. Not sure if the big bottle has something similar or not. Anyhow, I was just wondering if any of you have used the atomizer and found it useful or not. Thanks!

An atomizer (or atomiser) you mean? I have one for the big Proraso, as well as for my Floid bottles. To me the atomizer seems to be less wasteful, but I find them a bit cumbersome to use at times. The atomizers for the big bottles of Proraso and Floid for me take alot of spritzes (maybe a dozen) to get a satisfactory amount of AS on my face.... but I also agree that dumping the AS into your hand from those bottles can result in quite a bit of spillage and waste. When I was trying to decide whether or not to buy one, I tried it without first and it felt like I was wasting some of the product, so I bought one. After using it for a period of time, I'm not sure the atomizer is worth the money. I think eventually, you can just get used to being more careful and not spilling it when you pour it into your hand and splash on your face. YMMV.

It depends, best way is to try it. I end up rubbing the Aftershave in the skin. I normally decant the AS in smaller glass bottles. I call it, it's a preference only.

I've used a similar one with my Floid Blue in the hope that it will reduce waste (since the Blue is discontinued). It's really taught me how little product is actually necessary. It does take up a fair amount of space, so be wary of that; I'd say the air bladder thingy is about half to two-thirds the size of a small apple.

Spray it into your hand first, though. Spraying it on the face provides what I find to be a rather unpleasant sensation, as if each droplet is a projectile needle. YMMV

Thanks for the insight guys. Much appreciated. I found out that the large bottle does not come with a flow restrictor like the small one does. Surprising, but maybe it is meant to be decanted...

I just received a large bottle of blue Floyd and I ordered the spritzer also. It is cumbersome and if I had to do it over again, I would just decant down to a smaller spray bottle and be ahead of the game. The long hose between the bulb and pump can be cut down and I may go that route to make it better to handle for me. If SWMBO watched me use the spritzer, I'm sure she'd get a laugh.

I have atomizer's for all of my big bottles. The green one I purchased for my Proraso from shaving.ie works the best, followed by my blue one for Floid Blue purchased from italianbarber.com...the red one I purchased from royalshave.com for my Floid Genuine is almost worthless and I generally wind up splashing this into my hands from the bottle. I really like the green and blue ones and wished the red one worked the same.

Where did you get the large bottle?

Thanks Gordy2 for the tip. Never thought of it. So I just merged two bottles of L'occitane AS to free one bottle up to use as a Floid Blue spritzer. It works like a charm, spray three of four spritzes of FB into my palm and its plenty to then apply to my face. Nice reasonably sized 100 ml bottle. Easy!!
