Advice wanted for blades please.

I am looking for a brand of blade i could buy in big quantity, i mean, like a pack of 100 that would be as sharp as Feather are but less expensive.
Any advice?

Well Pauldog *member of this site* sells Feathers for $ 0.25 each blade, yeah not as low as some other blades but they are worth every penny.. Pauldog sells them in 50 - 250 packs or more!

IMHO, I find Bluebirds to be as sharp as Feathers. You can buy them at ebay often times, but they are available here for about $0.20/blade

I'd suggest any Gillette blade, the Swedes, which you can't get anymore, evidently, or the 7 O'clock or the 7 AM. It's kind of ironic that Gillette would make my favorite product for avoiding their other products.

Not exactly any Gillette blade, the ones sold locally in the states in drugstores are some of the worst blades ever made. Also, Gillette doesn't make the "7am" blades which are not very highly regarded around here.

Of the current production, all of the Gillette Seven O'Clock blades seem to be pretty well regarded, and the "Gillette Seven O'Clock Super Stainless" is one of my favorite blades.

at 100 blades I hope you like whatever you are getting. I have found Derby blades in 100 packs pretty easily. I got one myself from amazon and tacked it onto the wife's book order awhile back. I am glad I like the blades, but I also have been giving packs to friends as they try out using a DE. Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to find mass quantities of any particular brand.

I agree with Sueto. Derbys are both sharp and smooth, and they can be bought for $ 13 per 100(ebay.) They are also very long lasting. For that reason, they are my everyday blades.

pauldog here sells 250 Feathers for $62.50 shipped and I recommend him. If pauldog ever runs out then I will pick them up from dridiot. I prefer to buy from members here for most of my shaving needs. I dont think I am going to be running out of feathers or blades in general for a long time... I still 80+ of derbys and astra superiors.. I have 220+ feathers!!
