Advice on a Bulldog with a cracked handle ...

I picked up this Bulldog Military set over the weekend. At the antique shop, I checked to make sure the crack was stable and the head was secure. At the time, all was well. But I think in the process of cleaning it up, I dislodged some of the residual gunk that was helping to hold the head secure to the barrel of the handle. The head will now separate from the handle, but it does still sit pretty snugly.

At this point, I'm wondering wether I should glue/epoxy the head to the barrel or just leave it alone. The crack doesn't seem to worsen when I tighten the razor and the head remains very secure when the razor is tightened. While I haven't shaved with it yet, I am quite confident that it will in no way effect the shave-ability of the razor. Thus, part of me thinks that I should just leave it alone. But another part of me thinks that it might be a good idea to just glue it so that the crack won't become worse. Thus, a few questions for the sages ...

Should I just leave the razor as is or glue/epoxy it?

If I were to use some epoxy or glue, would it stabilize the crack and prevent it from becoming worse?

If I do decide to glue/epoxy it, is there anything specific that I should buy?

If it helps, a photo of the crack and the separated head are below (I included a few others to show the overall condition of the set and razor).

I would not glue/epoxy the razor. If it is snug and does not move about and the crack is not getting worse i would leave it be.
Gluing will reduce the value of the razor and set.

Like Ray said, I would not glue/epoxy the razor. Once the cap is tightened down on the razor everything should be stable

I concur. If it is stable and the razor is useable I would leave it alone.
I have a set that would not be usable otherwise so I used a two part epoxy and clamped it until it was cured. It is fully serviceable now but, I would of course make a full disclosure if I were to ever sell it.

It's a safety razor, not a Dusenburg.
I would use "Red Lock-Tite" to secure the razor head to the tubing.
By all means fill out a disclosure form in triplicate that you've altered the razor, in case you ever try to sell it.
If not the "Razor Nazis will come knocking on your door.

Loctite is great stuff, that's what I would use. Just watch out for those Razor Nazis (and the Spanish Inquisition..."No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!")
