Adding Glycerine to AS

So, I've got a 12 oz. bottle of Pinaud Clubman VI Bay Rum at home, which I love for beating razor burn, and I like the scent. Although, my face is a tad dry after using it. I've also got a 2 oz. bottle of glycerine at home, and I know adding the glycerine to the AS will help it moisturize a bit better.

I think you can see where I'm going with this. How much of the glycerine should I add to the AS in order to get a mild bit of moisturizing from it? My skin is relatively oily, so I don't want to look like I rubbed Crisco on my face before work. I know you AS alchemists out there will have a quick answer.

Thanks.

First thing: don't experiment with your whole 12 oz bottle, you could inadvertently ruin it with too much glycerin. Decant some into a small bottle to do your experiment.

I have found that with about a 3.5 oz bottle, I can't really feel any difference with just a drop or two, but 10 or more drops gives me a case of "the stickies" - which I don't enjoy. Start with a drop or two, and keep adding until you're happy. If you go too far, at least you can just trash that batch (or dilute with more PCVIBR) and start over.

If I have the math right, 10 drops in 3.5-oz would be close to a 1:5 witch hazel to aftershave ratio, and 2 drops would be something like 1:50. That's a broad range, and perhaps I can help narrow it. I have been experimenting with 1:16 and 1:32 mixtures, using 1-teaspoon in 1/3-cup or 1/2-t in 1/3-cu, respectively. I haven't come to any conclusions yet, but that range seems to be roughly what I am looking for.
