Absinthe

Ok Gents, I'm looking for a good absinthe. Something close to the original mixture.

I like Lemercier 72. It is French.

Most decent absinthe made today comes out of Switzerland or France. A simple absinthe rule, if it is bright green, and comes from Czechoslovakia, give it a wide berth.

I have heard good things about Lucid from friends of friends, but have not (yet!) had the pleasure myself.

I had a shot of Lucid last night.It has the taste of anise ,but an underlying taste of mescal.I have tasted others absinthes that have a more pronounced green herbal taste,and I prefer that flavor myself,even though I suspect the original may lean more towards the anise flavor standing out.
