Actually yes, I have talked to the machine shop about this idea a few times. I have another project I am trying to complete. When that is done perhaps I can work on this idea again.

Not at all. The amount of drop from corner to corner is only three degrees. Not discernible from any other razor.

1) What ATT model is best equivalent to a Gillette Slim Adjustable set to level 4-5?
2) What are the differences in shave performance between the OC and Solid Bar? R1 vs R2?

Hi Stan, I've been looking for the Weber DLC and it still evaded me until now.
Would there be a chance that ATT would make a stainless steel head that has a DLC coating, similar to the Weber?

I have used a New so I would suggest the Atlas R2.
Thank you for thinking about us, however we do not apply any coating or plating to our stainless razors. By doing this we eliminate any concern of any peeling, fading cracking etc. associated with plating razors.
FWIW, I think the M2 is closer to the New. Use whichever handle you prefer--- they are all heavier than the originals.
Thanks for your response, I do have have an ATT S1, and thinking of getting the R1 head too. My S1 was my first stainless, so I thought of you guys first! Ha-ha

My S2 shaves like an R1/2 but feels like an M1/2. You might like it!!!
IIRC Stan has said he designed the slant to between the M and R plates.

I have the S1 and S2. For me they fall in between the M and R for agressiveness. The S2 is my personal favorite razor.
+1. Maybe a bit closer to the R, IME.
