What's new

A year ago today I found a wbsite called Badger and Blade

I was looking for information on buying DE blades. I'd just signed a new employment contract with a new employer so I had to go back to shaving everyday. I'd found my old Gillette Superspeed in the bathroom and decided to use that again but I didn't fancy paying $1 a blade for Wilkinson Swords at the supermarket. Doing a search through Google pointed me here and as they say, the rest is history.
What a year it's been. New job, two new dogs, a new car and of course a passion for using, collecting and restoring antique and vintage razors.
I'd certainly be alot richer if I hadn't found this place but that's just monetary value. I think my life is certainly richer. I've been able to connect with people that appreciate that shaving can actually be a pleasure, that opening a door for a lady has not gone the way of the dinasaurs, that writing with a vintage fountain pen does not make you strange and that appreciating a fine cigar and taking the time to enjoy it allows you to step off this fast paced world we live in and savour the moment.
I want to thank you all for making this forum such a fantastic place to visit.

No monetary value can be placed on those realizations-well said sir! You too have contributed to making B&B a place to visit.

I have enjoyed your posts, sir.

It is gratifying to see someone who is more avid about collecting than I am. :closedeye

I agree with your approach to these little things.
Mine is: "Life with an emphasis on quality."

I found this place because it was getting harder and harder to continue with DE-shaving with what the local shops could offer. Thanks to this forum a lot of my stuff improved; blades, brushes and soaps mostly. It was not really the best for my wallet too, but I could miss what I spent and am content all around. I love to visit B&B while my wife is watching her fav sitcoms. Much better to be here than to argue about what to see on tv...

Very good John,

To enjoy shaving is wonderful.

I wish more people could have this experience.

OH, and this little spot on the internet is a great place to hang out. :yesnod:

The only thing missing from your post is the link to your anniversary PIF!

Great to hear how much a simple website empowers people to get more satisfaction out of every day life. :001_smile Hope you're still here to post your 2nd, 5th, 10th anniversary posts as well.

People like your good self help to make this place great John. Thanks for all of your input- may you have many more enjoyable years and be able to share them with us here.
