I wasn't wet shaving on my last 3 deployments, but I will be eligible to deploy 180 days after I get back from Korea (in June) so I'll be sure to work on some converts over there. I might be straight shaving by then, so I almost look forward to a true "combat shave" like the 1st Sergeant here.

Is anybody ever truly "off duty" over there, even while shaving?

Even when at "quiet" locations, you're at least on alert for something happening, and subject to recall to duty at any time.

You get used to it, and sometimes wonder what's missing in the background for a little bit after coming home.
