A/S Order

Got a sample from Garry of Clubman, loved it, and just proceeded to buy a bottle of Clubman, Vanilla and the Special Reserve. I'm not a huge clove fan (read: bay rum, *gasp*), so I was wondering, any other must try Pinaud A/S's?

I also like Citrus Musk for summer and Musk (looks pink). I don't care too much for Lime Sec. But, I think you got the three best.

Strange as it may seem, Clubman's "Eau de Portugal" hair tonic works great as an AS too. It's got a really nice orange rind scent, though it fades as fast as any citrus would--sadly, cause it's a really nice scent!

Yeah, what he said! Along those lines, their Eau de Quinine is also a hair tonic that makes an excellent aftershave. I prefer the EdQ to the EdP as the scent lasts considerably longer. It's scent is hard to describe, but definitely an old timey, barber shop sort of scent. And of course you must at least try The Veg (Lilac Vegetal) to see if you are chosen! Btw, I mixed some of The Veg with Tres Flores aftershave the other day and it was quite a nice concoction! Took the best of both worlds and removed the worst.

I thought the Eau de Quinine smelled like faint cherry cough syrup. It was something I just couldn't get used to, using it as a hair tonic. I ended up giving it away. I didn't get a barber shop scent from it, but my nose is not very good on those types of things, so Patrick is most likely more accurate than I.
