A Question Worthy a King....or moderately bored individual

I'm currently using GFT Violet andhave a decent amount left but I don't like it all that much. I'm looking at gettgina nother good English cream (it runs in my blood!). I'm looking at D.R. Harris Arlington/Windsor or TOBS Eton College. Which do you think it better, or, which cream do you prefer? I use a silvertip parker which retains a lot of water and a dreadnought DE. The area I'm in is extremely dry so if the cream tends to dry really quickly I'll have a problem. As always, thanks for the input gents!

Never tried the Eton college scent, but I've heard good things. Most ToBS soaps are excellent performers. My favorite scent is actually Jermyn Street.

DR Harris makes outstanding creams, the scents are more "old-timey" or traditional (not that this is a bad thing). Performance wise, DR Harris creams are even better than ToBS. Of course YMMV.

I've never tried Windsor nor have I ever tried their creams. I'm more of a soap guy. That being said I tried Arlington and it wasn't my favorite, but still a good scent and is pretty popular here this time of year. If I remember correctly they have a good Lavender as well if you like which is definitely a 'classic' that many stand by. I personally lean towards Marlborough though; it's woodsy and IMHO more manly than the others mentioned.

If you like how the Trumper's performs (which I do), try their Spanish Leather cream. I daresay it's my favorite of all I've tried. The scent is gentlemanly and lingers well.
If you want to try DR Harris, the only one I have any experience is the Marlborough, which I also enjoy very much. It has a nice woodsy scent.
As far as TOBS goes, Eton College is very good but not my favorite I don't think. I think Mr. Taylor and Shaving Shop are my two tops for those.

Good luck!

Hi Ben,
I've used both the Eton and Harris Arlington and in my opinion, the DR Harris Arlington is much better in terms of performance and not drying out. But scents are so subjective. I love the Arlington scent. Two other great English(and Scottish)creams are Castle Forbes Lime (and Lavender),and Trumpers Coconut. Believe me,you can't go wrong with either of them !
