A piece of German shaving history

Back when each auto in Europe carried a small country code plate or sticker in addition to the registration plate, a "DDR" country code was rather rare. I used to know someone who kept a "DDR" plate in her living room as a conversation piece. How she obtained it, I forget.

Very interesting. I started a thread about Soviet-era shaving brushes a year ago, and not much turned up. This one really seems nice, so congratulations. Now, did Muehle make badger brushes back in the day?
