It's from Mühle's GDR days and NOS.

Back when each auto in Europe carried a small country code plate or sticker in addition to the registration plate, a "DDR" country code was rather rare. I used to know someone who kept a "DDR" plate in her living room as a conversation piece. How she obtained it, I forget.

I love some of the cheesy DDR design. I remember at some museum I was at in Dresden or Leipzig many years ago they had a combination vacuum cleaner and blender so you could clean your floor and then make a milk shake. Still, the most cryptic item of DDR design ought to be the decision to put Karl Marx on the 1000 Mark bank note, just saying. This book is pretty cool:

Very interesting. I started a thread about Soviet-era shaving brushes a year ago, and not much turned up. This one really seems nice, so congratulations. Now, did Muehle make badger brushes back in the day?
