A modern day replacement for Lime Old Spice??

So my favorite aftershave in the 80's was my Lime Old Spice. But there seems to be a lot of similar fans of this wonderful green concoction as full or nearly full bottles on daBay go for $75 or more!!:scared:

Any good modern day substitutes?

TIA,
Chris

I hope that site is trustworthy because I just bought some Lime Old Spice!!! Plus some blades and some original Old Spice!! Thanks for the tip!!

Nice to know that they're trustworthy. I've been wondering about them for awhile. The only this is, they don't have a way to order the Permasharp 7 O'clocks in bulk.

I realize it is a little different, but Ogallala limes is quite nice and not too far off. Well, maybe, but still has that hard lime note. Just an idea.

So this is what I got in the mail yesterday!!! All the way from India. The scent of the Fresh Limes is what I remember from the 1980's. Outstanding!!! My only disappointment is that I don't have the green solution in the glass container, but the scent brings back fond memories. This is great!!!:w00t:

Oh and the original is the old Shulton formulation (now made by Shulton in India!!).

Interesting. I'll have to give that place a shot; I still have a 3/4 full glass bottle of OS Shulton Lime AS from the early 80s.
Is the liquid in the Lime plastic bottle still green?

Bump, because I also want to know how close this is to the original formula (and whether it is green?), and whether I should spring for the vintage stuff?

You know I can't tell if this stuff is green like in the good old days because I have not decanted it because it would be hard to get back in this container.

I got three bottles in the mail today myself. I ordered mine on eBay, but they're from India too. Instead of the plastic travel bottle, I got a small glass "buoy" shaped bottle. The only difference is that the stopper is white with a star, not gray or red. Smells great!

Mine arrived yesterday. I don't really have much memory of the original OS scent but this jogged my memory a bit... must say that I'm not getting many limes from it, but the burn this morning when I used it was quite extreme.

I wonder if the common nomenclature is the same. Is this "lotion" actually a lotion, or is it a splash?

Pardon the ignorance... does the lime version smell like regular Old Spice with added lime or is it something lime-based but all together different?

These are just my first impressions--I used it on the run once so far. To me, it smells like Old Spice with lime. But it isn't the hard candy lime of Pinaud Lime Sec. More like a slightly bitter lime--like lime zest or something. Works well with the sweetness of Old Spice. I'll report more after I try it again.

Interesting; I may have to get my hands on some just to try.

If that's the case it would be really easy to make your own version of it using, say, Ivory Club mixed with, say, SCS Extract of Limes splash.
