A lovely art deco cased UK 1912, with instructions & blades

New addition to my small-but-growing Ever-Ready family.
I'm not really one for not using stuff, but I think I'll leave this mint NOS beauty as is...

Duh, forgot to photograph the cardboard box!

I'm guessing from the style of the case, a 1930's 1912?

(First time uploading photos, so apologies if it doesn't work!)

Great razor and case--let me know if you ever want to sell it. I see that the company HQ was in NW9; that's out there on the NW edge of London.

Thanks! It is a beauty...

I don't know about the blade cases. I think it's maybe correct as I got it (not sealed admittedly) in the original cardboard box & my impression was the instructions had never been unfurled before or the razor actually used....but, dunno? One of the ER historians here may have the answer.

There was at least one other colour case used for these - mine both have two (2) "New" blade cases as well.

That's neat. And strange.
I wonder what the reasoning is on that? Most other razors with two containers are labelled new and used, or sharp and dull. At first I thought maybe having two for new meant the blades were to be thrown away when they were dull, but the enclosed papers there show the blades being stropped.

Very nice razor. I get razors to shave with, but I agree with your decision to keep it mint. That's too rare in its unused condition to mess it up with soap.

Love the true deco look of that one.
I don't often join in on the 'wow that's nice' threads but I love the look of this. It reminds me of the film Dune which I love.
Another added to the RAD list:drool:

Beautiful set congrats!!
Is the handle made of aluminum?
I have a English Gem with an aluminum handle with the same pattern

I also have an Ever Ready 1912 with the chain link handle in a similar grey colored case
