A little trip to London: Trumpers, Taylor, Penhaligon's

Gents,

I recently had the pleasure of staying in London for a few days.
Just the right time to visit a couple of shaving sanctuaries:

G.F. Trumper

Very stylish place!

Then, Taylor of Old Bond Street

Nice people, in a place packed with gear.

And finally, Penhaligon's

Incredibly charming and small shop, and some expert advise on what to buy (English Fern, it is).

ok, I have to give you credit. It's always cool to see some of the old architecture and where some products originated from.

Props pal

It is - it is actually amazing how close these old shops are located to each other!

See on Google Maps, I made a little map.

We had to ;-)

The array of shaving brushes at Taylor of Old Bond Street proved very tempting, and so did their collection of soaps, shampoos and scents and so on.
We weren't tempted to much at Trumpers because a lot of their merchandise is neatly stowed away (and I already do have their great Lime shaving soap).

Unfortunately, with modern rules for flying in an airplane not much room was left in our luggage.
So with enormous self control I only bought one 100ml bottle of English Fern EdT at Penhaligon's, after the very good advice of the lady in the shop.
