I have both, but carry the slim Spydercos more, so I voted Spyderco. But for me they serve different niches.

Benchmade by far-----own a couple Spydies(PM2-Manix) and own a bunch of Benchmades many with duplicates or triplicates of the same model---original large Presidio being the favorite and I must own 6 or 7 of them. The Axis lock is what does it for me with Benchmade.
