Firstly has anyone else had this problem? My Futur was misbehaving, and on closer inspection it appears that the two prongs that sit under the head(top of the shaft, beneath the mounts, which the blade sits on have somehow bent. When I snap the razor head back on after loading a blade, the blade gap is uneven from end to end. This makes the shave performance bad for obvious reasons. So for the time being the Futur is out of commission. I have reunited myself with my 37C(Slant), and so far so good. Holding the razor lower(towards the butt) and using an angle very similar to the razor head has made a big difference to the comfort and finish I can achieve. Previously I was focused on lifting the handle "up" away from the floor(as mentioned in some posts). By following the angle of the razor head I seem to be getting less skipping of the razor and no burn or weepers(which I had experienced previously with the Slant). After 5 years of DE shaving I'm still learning, but I think now I might be onto something. For me the Slant seems so much less effortless than the HD, and doesn't require the 3 passses which quite frankly I don't have the time and patience for in the morning. I enjoy my shave, but I don't want to have to get up with birds to endure a long whisker whittling ritual everyday.
