Going to be enjoying a bit more tobacco than usual for the next few days . . . pipes to keep me away from social media, and B&B to keep me away from politics.

Grab a book. You'll have to learn notation which is a course in itself.

Oh, I know the basics, of both notation and the game. Getting back into it should be fun.

Also, while I have missed out on a pipe (so far) I did manage to plod my way through a firm reset of my phone. Lost some stuff, like all my texts, but overall it came through unscathed.

I use chess.com they have a lot to offer players of all skill levels. Many of their members are internationally ranked professionals and they often host online tournaments with them. Magnus just played and won a live match a few days ago...he is insane.
