Hi everyone!
Here is my newest custom, I like this one the most of those I have made so far. This is the second occasion I used thuya burl, but after the first try I was certain that I need to use a liner or something to reinforce this wood. My wood of choice was african blackwood, being the second most dense wood in the world, and also very hard. Very stable, very oily and resinous, I thought this will make a very nice reinforcement to the burl, and it came out really nice indeed.
The blade is 7/8" in size, scales are made from thuya burl and african blackwood with SS washers and nickel-silver pins. This is my first filework on a razor, I hope you like it! This one took me a long time to make, but I really like the outcome, this won't be my last I am sure.
Here are the pics, please let me know your opinion about this razor, be it bad or good!
Thanks for watching!
