6 blades

So this is the first time Gillette has ever been out-bladed?

Step it up, guys!

Not exactly. Dorco of Korea has been making, and marketing a 6 bladed razor (usually sold under a given store's house brand) since 2008.

The Titan razor in question is unique in that it has the shaving cream dispensed from within the handle. I think of it as more of a gimmicky product that a serious contender for any large % of the shaving market share.

i loved this quote:

"If you go out and try to buy equipment for shaving today, it's very complicated," he says.

"You might have to buy batteries," Peter adds.

so that means buying stuff like a flashlight or PB&J sandwich (any sandwich really) is difficult? are we really that dumb?

I admit I'm old-fashioned, but I don't remember putting batteries in my PB&J sandwiches. :001_smile

That's a syndicated article that keeps cropping up in papers.

This is the line that should trigger everyone's NONSENSE DETECTOR
"We use technology that's used in the semiconductor industry and the automotive industry to get the spacing just right between blades," he says. "We're talking microns. It's a very deep technical science."
