Which was recommended? I was looking at some of the Chinese ones 60X on ebay for around 5 bucks.

I like the radio shack light microscope for like 10-15$
That sounds like the one Larry recommended in papers with the poor strop kit. I'll check it out too.
That's the type I'm talking about. Glad others like it, cause it's cheap. I did find a U.S. based seller of these for under 6 bucks.

I've had this 10 X waaaay before I bought the batt. operated loupe...I so much more prefer the 10 X over the batt. loupe. IMO, you can see everything you need to see w/10X, w/o a batt.
others may have better and different ideas

Does anybody have a USB type they recommend? I've seen some 200X for 15-20 bucks shipped and some 600X for 35-50. I can imagine the loupes are handy while working, but it'd be cool to have picture taking ability and increased magnification too.
