2nd Replacement knot of the day - 22mm Silvertip

Since I received my knots from TGN I decided to finish them up. My first one I posted earlier today: http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?p=1850202#post1850202

I really liked the handle but didn't like the performance of the pure knot, nor how it felt against my face. I already have a 24mm finest in a custom handle so I thought I'd try out the silvertip offerings to see how they work (especially for creams). For this bigger one I cut down the knot, drilled it out and sanded the inside clean. The 22mm silvertip grade A I got was actually a bit large for the original handle so I had to enlarge the hole a bit as well as trim down the knot base a tad.

I planned on trying the smaller brush tomorrow but now I want to use them both! Oh, and thanks to everyone for the info that led me to make use out of a brush I put away.

I really like the bigger one a lot. I love how the convex (SAT word!) shape of the handle, the fact that the knot just barely fits, and the bulb shape makes it look like the hair is about to explode out of the handle out of pure density. Really very nice.

Another nice one. I have an 18mm Grade A restore that is really very very nice, I bet this larger one will make great brush.

Yea the big one is a real looker. I really liked the design of the handle which is why I didn't really try to sell it off (that and the pure ones don't fetch much).

Just need to do something about these lies!
