1st Heavy Flat Top/G-Bar Shave

I was waiting until I could have a proper go at it. I believe it to be one of the more attractive razors within the six that I now own. I ran through the routine as I would with the 1912 or the Micromatic. the shave was at lease as good/great as those two others. I did run into the nose issue as I proceeded. The HFT took a few attempts to clear just under my nose (maybe it's size).

all and all: it's my contention that Gene is a GEM man for life!

You have great taste! I like the G Bar razor a lot and I get a great shave from it. BTW, I used to live in Norwich, VT and know West Leb very well, so it's no surprise you too like the G Bar as you must have great taste!

I can't see the picture

I like the G Bar almost as much as the 1912. I was surprised to see my son (17) bring one home from a flea market last summer. He made the switch from DE to SE, and uses the G Bar almost exclusively.

I have but one conclusion and that is . . . my 1912 give me the best and closest shave. that's over my Micromatic and Heavy Flat Top but that doesn't or wouldn't ever mean that I'm not a BIG fan of the others. I have just come to know my face, angle, and tools.

I never got a decent shave out of the g-bar, too mild. The 1912 is a different story. However, I highly recommend the Ever Ready 1914, aka ''little Lather Catcher''. I somehoe managed to hoard 4, just in case they stop making them...
