133 red imp info?

Those Temperite scales are perilous! I have picked up several of these Case Temperite wedges and full hollows, but the scales had all shrunk around the blade. All the full hollows had bent blades from the pin flexing the blade for years, luckily the wedges were just fine. Really cool to see yours in original condition, I'd say its a rare bird!

My Case 133 seems to be suffering from the same fate although no effects on the blade as yet. I can't tell if there was ever any red paint on the tang stamp but all that's left of the gold on the scales is on one foot.

Added another Case 133 recently.

Imps, super shavers. A red paint pen and razor blade will replace the red in the tang stamps, Rub & Buff, gold will fill the scale stamp.

I have several, all the makers. Love the Case domed pins. They all shave about the same, great.

I have a 6/8 Case full hollow. Stupendous razor, and near mint, though like most, the scales have shrunken, and I’ve relieved the wedge with a hacksaw blade to keep the toe from hitting the wedge.

New scales are inevitable, it’s just a matter of time.
