Bottom Line Up Front: Underwhelming
I had never come across a blade that make me think about corking, but this one did. The price of entry for 5 shaves was HIGH at 13 weepers for shave #1. This shave also made me glad we keep some witch hazel in the medicine cabinet. After paying the price of admission, the blade settled down and was actually not a bad performer. Would it have been able to break into the top 20 had I corked it? It may have struggled into 18th or 19th place. As it is, the blade scored 7.38, which is below the current average of 7.57. Is this a blade that I would consider one of the "common herd"? No, corking blades is not something I want to get into. The final rankings place this blade behind 26 others, ahead of 15 others and tied with 1 other (Astra Superior Stainless (Laser Marked)).
In looking at the first 4 shaves, the blade actually falls in the standings as 28 others scored better. Had I corked it, it could have jumped up by, maybe, 4 places.
