I bought a 450ml tub of JM Fraser's from Fendrihan's for $12.99 after having read the reviews here.
I'm very impressed with this cream, especially as a 'daily driver' type of shave cream. I use Classic Shaving unscented for my Sunday Morning shave; it is IMHO the best out there, but it's also quite expensive. Proraso Eucalyptus is my daily cream, and for my money, the best in that price bracket.
JM Fraser's lathers up very well, and makes a nice thick lather which stands up to the end of my shave. The scent is fairly mild and not unpleasant. I found that it allows the razor to glide very smoothly, and there was no razor burn, even after multiple passes.
The ultimate test for a shave cream, in my case, is my third stage, when I do a final lather and upstroke on my neck and chin. If a cream is good, then I get no irritation at all. JM Fraser's accomplished this easily.
I count this as a superb value for a daily use shave cream.
