They can call me a barbarian, but I've started lathering a jellybean-sized drop of Cremo along with hard soap a lot of the time. I lather as usual, add some extra water, then whip in the Cremo. The glide is just crazy, especially making touchups without relathering.

I used to "boost" my Proraso Green shaves with a pea-sized amount of Cremo Cooling and it made the lather a whole new level of slick and comfortable. The stuff is super comfortable but the post-shave....pure magic!

I guess I'm a barbarian too, oh well! LOL

Im so fresh I had to slap myself!
Peppermint...mmmmm...so refreshing. Not heavy handed like a lot of mentholated soaps and splashes.
The Ethos and the GEM G-Bar both arrived in the mail today so I thought I’d use them both. I’m having a rare evening shave. I already have a G-Bar, but this one was so perfect and I got it for the price of a cup of coffee. I know, making excuses for my sickness.
The shave was excellent. I’ll be sleeping on a BBS tonight. I think at shave number five this blade is just hitting it’s sweet spot. I did have a couple of rough shaves with it early on.

Fantastic 3 pass BBS shave with no cuts, weepers, irritation or tugging. This is my third Kai blade from the participation PIF and first time trying it in the FOCS and boy was it good, better then the Timeless .95 that tugged a lot. Also was the first time trying the Thäter knot with TOBS cream and I got the slickest lather I’ve gotten with TOBS yet, usually it’s really fluffy and drying on the third pass. This will be my go to brush with TOBS for now on. Oh and I smell 👌

Dropped a fresh ProGuard in the Feather SS Kamisori tonight and put together a citrusy lineup:

tempImage8WtJdj.jpg

Bad news first: I'm still leaving a lot behind on my chin. I can feel stubble there even WTG.

But other than that, I had a breakthrough shave with this razor tonight. Three passes plus some extra cleanup, virtually no blood or irritation, and a solid DFS result everywhere except my chin. Upper lip is nearly BBS for the first time with this setup.

I just got the Lemon Chill Glacial today and it's a fun ride! :velva2:

Brush: RV Mandarin 24mm, 2 Band Shavemac

Blade: Polsilver SI (2), day 2 was so perfect this blade gets one more day

Soap: Canada 🇨🇦 this really is an incredible hard soap, face lathered and could have done 4 passes.

Razor: Timeless Ti SB .95

Bowl: Captains Large Copper Bowl

Post Shave: Ethos Unscented skin food, SV Cubebe aftershave

This was another great combo

Tue 13th SE SOTD
Soap Stone Cottage - Musk
Brush Yaqi 24mm Silvertip
Razor Yaqi AC Aluminum
Blade Feather ProGuard 11th use
Post & Aftershaves Ice Water + Stirling Witchhazel MitA + Hyaluronic + Axe Signature Denim
Nice enough lather from the soap. Mid strength & pleasant. Easy to create a creamily slick lather...
Shave with razor paired with the well-used blade is still smooth and comfortable for 3passes without any issues resulting in a bbs to dfs finish. Nice cooling aftershaves on this oven-hot day. Rating 9.7/10!

Bowl: Captain's Choice Copper
Lather: Martin de Candre Nature
Moisturizer: Nivea Post Shave Balm + Hyaluronic Acid

Excellent shave!

Pre-wash/shave - Goat's milk soap and the PAA Cube
Brush - PAA Atomic Rocket
Soap - Barrister and Mann Seville
Bowl - Timeless
Razor - Timeless SS .95 OC
Blade - Voskhod (1)
Post-shave - Lucky Tiger and Barrister and Mann Seville Balm

Shave Rating: 7.5/10

Today was my time using a Voskhod blade. Smooth! So smooth I over shaved on my neck. The Timeless with the Voskhod blade has very little blade feel. Which is both awesome and dangerous!

Soap/Cream: Palmolive stick
Brush: Mühle Silvertip fibre M
Razor: Merkur 38C
Blade: Polsilver Super iridium (3rd)
Post: warm rinse; Ladrôme witchhazel + alum
AS: cold rinse; Pitralon classic AS.

2 passes (WTG, ATG), excellent shave.
The Polsilver is giving me good and comfortable shaves. Even did an ATG on my upper lip today. Not totally smooth, but at least no issues.

As I was not fully content with yesterday's result I basically used the identical setup today for optimization. And, alas, with some concentration the shave today was much better though not perfect. I would rate it an 8/10 as I had one nick in the chin region. Nonetheless, the shave (being the seventh shave of my SOC boar) was significantly smoother than yesterday. The lather was far better than yesterday, I took less product and more time to build the lather.

Razor: Rockwell 6S. WTG, XTG R4, ATC and touch up R3

First ever shave with the German version of the Personna Platinum, and I am happy to report that shave 1 felt identical to last weeks shave 1 with it's Israeli brother in this razor. It feels sharp and smooth, although possibly not quite sharp enough on shave 1 for a razor as light as the Aluminium Tech, and I am hoping it sharpens up over the next couple of shaves in the same way the Israeli Red does.
It was also my final shave with Blenheim Bouquet shaving cream in my current rotation. It's what I describe as a solid performer (for me just above Proraso and just below TOBS and D.R. Harris) but scent wise I don't think anything can beat it (apart from Penhaligons Endymion in the winter!), definitely one of my favourites.
Overall a pleasant shave with no irritation or Alum feedback and a great start to my working week after a long weekend off.

Razor: Blackland Blackbird
Blade: Personna Super (2)
Brush: PAA Amber Aerolite 24MM synth
Pre-shave: Proraso
Soap: Proraso Green
Aftershave: Proraso

Excellent Shave, deep and clean. Second shave with the Personna Super blade went well. Aerolight brush delivers. True to its name, it's more subtle than their Atomic Rocket. I didn't necessarily care for the Proraso aftershave which felt more like a cross between aftershave and cologne and would have a hard time reaching for it again so 9.0 for the total experience.
