Well I don't have a den but in the forty years I have been shaving with a DE I have only used three razors .
I still own them.
The best one is my latest gift from my wife that she bought for me last Christmas a Fatip picolo.
The second best is the Merkur 34c I bought in Berlin in 2000 when I forgot to bring my ,now,third best:the Fatboy my dad passed to me when I started shaving in 1980.

Now, if I could only find a Wolfman WR2 .95 or 1.05 SB stainless head in the new brushed (basic/matte) finish!

I am revising my list..I hope that’s allowed. I really, really wanted to the like the Rex, as it is such a cool, beautifully built razor. Unfortunately, I just could not get a comfortable shave with it, even on the lower numbers. Too much blade feel for my taste, I think. So, I moved it on and replaced it with a Timeless SS .95SB. Wow! Now that’s a smooth shaving razor, and very efficient. Without further ado, here are my revised top five, which I feel very good about:

Gillette Super 84 (No particular order for this list, but the Black Beauty on 5 truly produces my smoothest and closest shaves....love this thing!)

I think we have to throw the flag on your fifth entry here. The Red Tip SS and Fatboy are two totally different razors with different shaving characteristics.
