Calling all Louisiana members

My wife and in-laws are from LC. Welcome aboard. There is one place in Lake Charles that sells Crabtree & Evelyn shaving cream. It's called Expressions. C&E gets good reviews here on B&B. Also, if your travels take you to Houston, there is a store called British Isles that sells A LOT of shaving supplies. As the name indicates, the creams and soaps are all from Great Britain ("The 3 Ts" plus more).

My wife did go to British Isles in Houston a few weeks back and bought TOBS Eton College and St. James Collection Shaving Creams for me. Both good creams.

So...something to chew on. Has anyone visited some type of "International" store and found shaving supplies not found in regular department stores (IE Walmart, Target, Walgreen's, etc). Past week or so I have visited about four stores: one an Asian store, the other three Middle Eastern. The Middle Eastern stores I got looked at like I had a third eye. The Asian store I was pleasantly ignored. No shaving items at any of them. The Hispanic stores have Florida Water and some other *** and Colognes, but nothing much else. I was just wondering if anyone else tried this approach and found anything.

I've been to a few Asian grocery stores here in Baton Rouge. Vietnamese and possibly Indian or Middle Eastern. None of them have any shaving supplies. I was really hopeful.

I've tried Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, Albertson's, local grocers, Target... no luck yet. I've been told that it can be find in some of those retailers in other parts of the country, but no luck here.

(just for clarity, I'm talking about the stuff in a tube.)

I went by the Government and Acadian Rite Aid this evening and noticed that the Nivea Sensitive Shaving Cream (in a tube) are sold out. They apparently had a buy 1 get a second at half price.

Looks like CVS doesn't carry the cream, only the Nivea gel in a can. Which is buy 1 get 1 @50% this week.

Welcome to Round 9 of Badger and Blade Bingo: the Shave Clinic & Newbie Check-In Edition!

What is B&B Bingo???
It’s part Bingo and part Forum Scavenger Hunt. It’s a great way to get to know some of your fellow B&Bers, and it’s a lot of fun…….. and did we mention there are prizes?

We’ve been playing Bingo in various Forum of Badger & Blade over the last year. Whether you’re a seasoned bingo veteran or a first timer, all players are welcome! To see what we’ve been up to for the last year, and get an idea of the fun in store for this game, take a look HERE.

This is a B&B Sanctioned game. To be eligible to play - You must:

• Abide by the B&B Terms of Usage, at all times
• Be a member in good standing with...
  • 45 days of membership
  • 50 quality posts
    (if you do not meet the minimum day/post requirement, keep wathing, there will be more games in the future!)
• Have a way to view PDF files on your phone, computer, tablet, or other device. The cards are in PDF or JPG format.
• Have an active e-mail address that we can send your B&B Bingo card to.
  • We will not use your e-mail for any other purpose aside from this bingo game.
  • All e-mails will be kept in strict confidence.
    (Return use of our e-mail address for any other purpose, could cause the sender to lose their B&B privileges.)

The Game is OPEN to Worldwide participation.

Up to 40 contestants are allowed per game.

The game will start and the 1st Bingo words will be called after 12:01 am, Monday, May 23rd , EST.

The Forum Stewards (@Parjay and @dangerousdon ) will be hosting this game. Game words will only be placed in posts created by the Stewards in the Shave Clinic & Newbie Check-In forum. Game words will be identified by being placed in quotes (e.g. “Game Word”). Three game words will be called by a single Steward, each day (no more, no less), until a winning Bingo is called. Game words may be placed in old posts, but not older than 2 days. No words will be placed in posts before the game officially starts. Images, links, or other items may appear differently in Tapatalk or mobile browsers.

The bingo game is very easy, and standard bingo rules apply. 5 in a row, vertical, horizontal, or diagonal word matches constitutes a win. The center space is a "Free" space.

The first contestant to post "B&B Bingo" in this thread, will have his card compared to the call list. If it appears that the card is not a valid "Bingo", we will continue with the word posts as normal.

There are 50 numbered cards. Contestants will be allowed to pick their card number. First come, first served. When you sign up in this thread, please copy the list and add your name and indicate the card number you would like. Please ensure you check the latest recap post to see what cards are still available.

Just returned from Bed Bath and Beyond at the Mall of Louisiana (Baton Rouge). They are now stocking C.O Bigelow products, including C.O. bigelow shaving cream (Proraso).

Very cool! Any chance you saw the Pinaud lineup there? I've heard some stores have them.
