WARNING: Sebum Lather Photos Ahead!

My thoughts exactly!

And a cork lid, like La Toja Manantiales??

Nice bowl, too! You’re doing this right!

Thanks! I bought the bowl from Doug Smith Pottery on Etsy years ago, and it’s one of my favorites!

Have a great rest of the week!

Essentially you are using enough soap that it's slightly more aired than liquid soap. Some soaps though if you try similar with will just produce airy lather and not really reach that level of wet thick lather. It depends on the soap. This one is nice, but your per use $ has to be pretty high to get that type of lather I would think. I have never tried the Sebum line. Maybe after I burn through my decade long backlog of soap.

I load my Sebum soaps straight off the puck and face lather just like I would any other soap, adding a bit of water slowly and gradually. I get excellent results this way. The lather doesn’t turn out quite like Matt’s, I admit, but then again, I’m not really trying to bathe my head in yogurt either. ;)

I got the same lather consistency yesterday from Zingari Man Sego Shaving Soap by using the Marco method (same goes for SV beta 4.3 soap) - since I happened upon it, it's as if I've entered a new dimension of lather. All my previous lathers were sub-par by comparison. Nb4, I'm using my soap faster... there's no going back to inferior, airy, under-hydrated lather.

Really really nice shave...used a vintage Wilkinson London Bridge blade on its 5th shave. Post-shave feel is second to none that I have tried, and the performance of Sebum Blue shave soap is pretty tough to beat!

I’m not familiar with this brand of soap. Is this a duck fat base and what is the price? Also what metro area are they located in and what is the cost of the soap.

If you google Sebum Gold you can find the website! The ingredient list is one of the smallest/shortest I have seen. No duck fat, but I don’t remember it off the top of my head. I will take a pic later when I go downstairs.

Gents,

I used the Lime this evening, but added a little bit of fragrant coconut pulp. The lather was more dense, and a little bit more slick than usual! It was an absolutely superb shave.

I will be trying to replicate this little experiment again soon!

I hope that everyone is doing well, and staying safe!

No Sir...it’s full size...and a hair under 9/8 at the widest. The picture angles just made it look like a shorty. It was in great shape when I snagged it off of eBay, and Max Sprecher did the restore. He did a great job for me...I was very pleased with how it turned out!

These are incredible photos!

I have a few questions:

1. How is the post shave? Does it compare with the likes of Grooming Department or Wholly Kaw?

2 How does the slickness compare with other top-tier soaps like the ones just mentioned?

3. Would you purchase again?
Thanks
