Maybe a dozen were auction buys. A few rarely seen and some NOS years ago when they were easier to score. The rest were found in the wild over a lot of years
@Cal , Your tiny butterscotch Shavemac prompted my first butterscotch Shavemac purchase.
I love almost all Shavemac shaving brushes, but the Butterscotch colour of Shavemac has never impressed me because it is more yellow than orange/butterscotch

Post-war Made Rites. All came with well-used, worn-out and irredeemably funky-smelling bristles, so they have been reknotted. The three on the right are 3/4 of my brush rotation, the 57 has a synthetic now and lives in the travel tube it came with. Sure is nice using these brushes. They feel great in the hand.
