After yesterday’s poor experience with a rather harsh new derby blade, for today’s shave, I prepared the skin with a hot towel and used quite some more water than usual with the Tabac soap to create a slicker lather. The experience was definitely much better!

After- the usual GJ alum and a splash of my lime blend.
Results-BBS they just keep getting better!!!!

Pre-shave: Cremo

Razor: Unbranded (Tech Clone Wannabe - link/preview below), MR11 Handle
Blade: Personna Israeli Platinum Red (4)
Post-shave1: Crystal Alum Stick
Post-shave2: Thayers Witch Hazel w/Aloe
Aftershave Balm: CeraVe
Cologne: Kolonia 1800 Vetiver deCrusellas EdC

The Tabac protected my face from this horrible, unbranded Tech Clone.

This is not a true Tech Clone in that there are four smaller oval slots on each side instead of the two larger slots on the Techs and the Tech Clones.

Blade alignment was problematic. Took a couple of tries to get the Personna Red properly centered.

Only made it WTG and partially XTG when I threw in the towel on this razor. Harsh and inefficient - not my cup of tea.

Every Tech Clone I've shaved with in this series shaves a lot better than this razor. I loaded the Personna in the Black Tiger (really good) Tech Clone and comfortably finished up my shave.

Razor not recommended.

Tabac Highly Recommended.

Just my opinion and YMMV

Merkur 41C + Gillette Nacet (1)
Face lather with Muhle XL and Tabac Original. 3 passes + touch ups to DFS. Required extra passes. No issues but this blade was not as smooth as expected. After shave report was significant.

After a week off I’m back to Tabac. The lather and shave was so terrific tonight I will likely finish out the month with Tabac!

I tried the Tabac shave stick today for the first time.
I'm on the fence regarding the scent, but my wife really likes it so...
Rockwell 6C with #3 plate; Feather blade with 2 shaves on it.
I was impressed by the performance. So much residual slickness I feel like I could have done the entire 2nd pass just by rubbing some water on my face. Some touch-up was done doing just that. Skin felt great afterward.
I'm finding I'm partial to tallow-based soaps, and this definitely has the tallow cushion.

WTG, XTG, selected ATG, plus minor buffing and touch--up.

DFS+. No nicks, cuts, weepers or irritation.

Tabac continues to perform wonderfully!

It's been Tabac every day for me, but that would probably have been the case even without Tabactober. Over the last week - inspired by comments here and elsewhere in the forum - I've been working just a little more water into my lather and now it's performing even better than before for me. Also managed to snag a deal on fleabay for the stick in its push-up container for just over a fiver GBP including postage. That must have been a pricing mistake, but regardless it's very cool to have the container.
