I have 2 or 3 of these blades but need to put together some scales for them. The original scales were a pretty faux tortoise shell but they really gassed off terribly.

This razor has a history of about 150 years and has been used by countless users. When I received the razor,
I realized that the blade had been shortened, but I still look forward to the next SOTD.
Between 1870 and 1872, Joseph Turner(Master grinder in Sheffield)immigrated to the U.S.A.
to help R. Heinisch establish a straight razor production line. After Rochus Heinisch's death in 1874,
the company's name was changed to R. Heinisch's Sons. In 1880,
Joseph Turner became president of the J. R. Torrey Company.
