15th consecutive cold water shave and use of a pre-shave other than a shower. Shark Platinums seem to be tuggy for me. I will, unless I forget, do a warm water shave tomorrow to see if the water temperature affects the irritation from tugging.

Every single time I look at Feather AS-D2, I am mesmerized. An exquisite design & build. I like it as much as Blackbird and other artisan razors.

ASRazor shave, Saturday, July 15th 2023

Razor : Gem Junior bar lather catcher- Mfg 1907-11, mild to tame mid range, a fresh blade brings out some of the best shaves that this razor offers, well made + nice script on the back of razor for that time period. Lather catchers played a big part in the evolution of safety razors being the first to arrive for the general public offerings in the 1880's by the Star brand. Had a close comfortable shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(2)
Soap : Razorock Emperor, sharp cologne scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Black marble" 24 mm 3band silvertip badger- excellent lather painter, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Big bloom on this brush with first cleaning, a very nice brush to use but it does trap lather in the knot more than my synthetics IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless)
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Gem Jr bar with a coated Gem blade. Gem manufactured very good razors for it's dominance in safety razors at one short time period in the shaving world.

An awesome shave again. This Wolfman razor is so smooth and it's titanium construction makes it light and nimble. The KAI blade continues to be one of my favorites with its sharpness without being harsh. I've always enjoyed using the soaps from @southernwitchcrafts which has a vegan base that is slick and lathers well. This Boonana soap is no exception.

The engraved titanium handle brush from Arno Shaving Brush had the R1 prototype knot. The tips are very soft and the knot has a good backbone. When splaying the brush and passing it across the face, it feels scratchy which oddly is a sensation I enjoy as it feels like it is exfoliating while lathering at the same time.

The shaving bowl from The CaYuen Workshop is one of my favorite bowl designs. Light, strong, with grooves in the bowl that quickly creates a rich lather, and beautiful to look at.

Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: The Body Shop Maca Root & Aloe softening shaving cream.
Blade: Personna Comfort Coated. (D2)
Razor: Parker 24C.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Brut ASL./ Wilko Men's Moisturiser.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

I have mentioned on many occasions that The Body Shop Maca Root & Aloe shaving cream never fails to provided me with a smooth protective slick lather in no time leaving a superb post shave feel....This cream gives the best protective slickness, and post shave feel that I have had from any shaving cream that i have tried to date...Superb Stuff!

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Wilko Men's Moisturiser.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.
