Don't get me wrong, I like blue china and spode ware-style, but that scuttle is a bit full on!(Actually, more so than that set that Docd posted).
Having said that, I do like the design of it.
Actually, the scuttle is a much darker blue than the picture. Don't know why it came out so bright.
Dang it! I want, no I NEED one of these to finish my set!
If its to "finish" your set then i would hold off for quite some time, as it may be a while before you're at your last one Johnnie !

Here is another one of my English mugs. What can I say. I like blue and white patterns. From my research, it is about 100 years old or maybe more.

Are those blue scuttles Burleighware?
I don't know about the dark blue one. It is only marked "Ironstone".
The other one is a James Kent.

I like to see the manly pics on them. That's one reason I like the Surrey mugs with the cars, and my old Case mug.
Ok, I jst received my first Surrey Mug. I am not looking to collect Surrey, but I love the mugs with ships on them. Here is mine.

You could use the boots & flannel shirts & sheets theory on that brush. The older and more used they are the better they feel!
