Great job with the review, and I like these C-MON razors. Especially the older ones as you had mentioned. For the price, I don't see a whole lot out there that will beat it.

The old ones were awesome include a stainless that they made. Just beautiful, delicate edges that would really hone up magnificently. I have honed a couple of the new ones now and they are OK........

How old is considered old when it comes to a C-Mon?

The original ones were, well vintage and probably go back to WW II era. I have a C mon HF and its a really great razor.

I've got a couple of the vintage C-Mon's as well, including one of the stainless specials. The old ones were really great. The new ones don't have the hardest steel in the world (seems about like the old W&Bs) but it looks surprisingly sharp, and it will deliver a good shave on a budget.

Doublecheck that link I posted links to C-Mon's website (they're still in business), and a link to Appleton's Barber Supply where I recently purchased a new production C-Mon razor.

My vintage C-Mon wedge with yellow inlaid scales (made in Germany) is currently one of my top two shavers. May be the reason I like wedges...
