As long as it's pronounced clar-ett nor clar-ay.

It's an English term to describe the wines from Bordeaux, so it should be pronounced with the English method. As you say.

For the same reason, the place the wines come from is pronounced "Boar-DOUGH", not "Board-OAKS"

If this thread made any sense it would then not be. It instead goes back to the first statement that what was before cannot exist now in order to make sense.

If this thread made any scents it would be in the colognes forum or maybe the aftershave forum. But it ain't so it don't. Geography creates culture.
