Just curious on what my fellow scotch fans are loving for their go to single malt scotch? For me it’s Balvenie 14 even though they raised their price 33%,on the bottle.

In the summer, Highland Park 12. In winter I like the smoke, so something from Ardbeg or Laphroaig usually hits the spot.
Ardbeg Uigeadail is a frequent rebuy and nowadays imo a more solid choice than Lagavulin 16y.

Cardhu is my choice of single malt scotch. I like The Balvenie too.
Maybe at Christmas, if I am lucky. But there are some great recommendations here.

Lagavulin has the most peat.
Laphroaig is too.
'Islay' and 'Skye' are locations that tend to have more peat.
'Highland,' 'Lowland,' and 'Speyside' tend to have less peat.
If you just like malt, 'Single malt Irish Whiskey' is a really good bet.
Lots of lovely Scotch whiskies cited in the thread. If I had to name one go to single malt for me it would be Talisker 10 yo.

I also have a taste for Islays that are a bit young and rough. With that in mind, Ardbeg Wee Beastie is another repeat buy.

If I had to choose one, then it would probably be Talisker 10. But, depending on the mood or my company: Talisker Distillers Edition, GlenDronach 15, Lagavulin 16, Laphroaig Quarter Cask, or Ardbeg Uigeadail.
