Yellowstone and Grand Teton for a week

Gettin' out of the North Texas heat. 28 days in a row over 100 degrees with no end in sight!!!

Leaving today to road trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone via Casper, WY to stop in on my nephew. Looking forward to a great time in a beautiful part of the country

love that area.. I've went as early as end of May and as late as Sept. I prefer Sept as most the tourist (at least with kids) are gone.. but, anytime around Yellowstone is better than anywhere else. If you really want 'cool' stay over around Cooke City it's 55 right now!

Returned to North Texas last night-drove straight through to DFW from Casper, WY after staying there overnight visiting my nephew. Fantastic trip. While Yellowstone can seem very crowded if you don't get into the backcountry (which we were able to do now that my kids are teenagers), Grand Teton wasn't as crowded.
