WOW'D by new Bob Farvour brush!

I decided that I wanted to pass my brush money around to the smaller makers. I had decided this before MAP etc. I just like to go with the little guy, especially when they put out a product at a fair price.

I just decided to check out different artisan brush makers and go with the first one that I found visually appealing.

I saw this offering from Bob Farvour and had to snap it up.

Loft is at 47, TGN finest (never had that knot) at 24mm

Beautiful brush. And yes, Bob makes some really nice pieces. I've got a handle in the same shape, but Parrot Bay (swirled blue and yellow) with the 26mm TGN finest bulb at 50mm. Considering the unquestionable quality Bob, Rudy, and some of the other artisan handle makers are putting out...I think many of us will be supporting the smaller makers.

Simpson's new pricing model. Basically dictates minimum price vendors that sell their brushes can charge. Resulted in quite a $h!+ storm and displeasure (mine and others') to a once respected manufacturer (again, my opinion)...but that's another thread (link below).

Great looking brush. And, if your experience is like mine, you're going to love the Finest knot.
I have five Finest knots in various brushes and am about to order two more.

yeah, I am not trying to re hash the MAP discussion. Just trying to share the love of the "artisan" brush maker and show a lil brush pr0n.

Before I lathered it in a bowl last night to test lather and check out the bloom, I put it to my face and found it scritchy. Today, 7/8ths dry I found not so much scritch

First real face lather today. I was a bit apprehensive about the bulb style. Great handle feel and the knot gave me 4 nice passes while feeling pretty great on the lather.

Nice looking brush! I'm wondering about your apprehension with the bulb: is this brush sort of thought to be "meant" as a bowl latherer?
Is a finest/bulb meant to pick up more difficult to load soaps? I'm trying to start thinking about what custom options mean.

Oh, I just have only used fan or hybrid fan knots for face lathering. I thought the bulb may not work out as well. I was wrong.
