I switched to an electric razor? I am almost 5 days into my month long experiment, and I am enjoying the quality of the shaves. Is it boring? Yes. Does it suck that I can't use all my fancy stuff? Yes.

I have not decided either way, but I did find myself looking at a new Braun tonight.

That lets you use it wet - the Panasonic is the one I had. They recommended Barbasol foam I think.

It wasn't bad.

For an Electric.

I also had a Braun (lower end) and a Norelco for a bit. Hated it. That rotary technology actually gave me razor burn and I don't care what they say, it couldn't cut hair on my neck for anything.

What I dislike about electrics is the stubble is back about 3pm. Course, you can shave while driving, so I suppose if that turned out to be a problem you could keep a spare in the car on your way for a night out or something.

I just remembered - when you use an electric, it takes some time for the whiskers to adjust. Once they do, (they grow straighter) I found that it was more difficult to get a reliably good shave.

Also, if you don't use it wet, take a cotton ball and some astringent (witch hazel will do fine) and wipe it across your just-electric-shaven face. That dark stuff will be on your face all day.

I would say buy one and keep it around for a change of pace.

Ohhh...someone was reading that! Well it looks like it was user-error. There is a moving part in the razor that I did not realized moved...it was like an abrasion, not ingrowns.

That's a good point, I say we boycott any and all of Sluggo's BST threads. If he wants to switch, we'll simply prevent it by making him keep his wetshaving gear
