I saw a listing on ebay the title of which was:
ANTIQUE GILLETTE SHAVING TOOL
This item looks like something you'd
use on your dog's coat, which makes it more than
acceptable for human use, in my opinion.
I think it is a hair thinner or neck shaver type tool
manufactured by
GILLETTE
COLOR: SILVER
VERY GOOD CONDITION
Now the only part of that which is true is that it does in fact have a silver color and it is in fact a "shaving tool". As you can see from the pics, however, the condition is more accurately described as rode hard and put up wet. In spite of the lousy description and the even worse picture, for 9.99 and free shipping, I had to have my curiousity satisfied. Plus, I've had some terrific shaves lately from OC's and, well, at this point I'm just excusing stupid behavior so I'll stop.
I cannot find an exact replica of this anywhere which leads me to believe it's a Frankenrazor. The handle appears to be a Fat Handled Tech, but they never shipped with a long open comb head did they? Anyone want to take a stab at what it is?
One other note. It does have the Gillette diamond logo on the head and made in u.s.a. as well.
