What's new

Wolf Whisker's Masterpiece!

I had an idea for a brush. In a PM to Fidem Scit I asked "have you considered embedding objects in your castings?" "Joe, let's hear your idea." was the reply.
That was the start and as we both discussed and planned to bring the idea to life, by the way Pete is great to work with, we realized it was going to be a challenge.
First the castings.

And the big reveal!!

Will be in the next post!

My idea had been to have a brush made that would reflect the American Civil War reenacting that I used to do. Dark blue uniform, sky blue piping for the infantry branch and ivory to represent a pleated front shirt that was a favorite of mine. Oh and brass buttons.

Pete did an incredible job pouring and turning this beauty. The light blue ring is perfect! It is a masterpiece!
And the button, I didn't tell Pete this, but it was one from the uniform I wore when I worked on both 'Glory' and 'Dances With Wolves'

What a great and imaginative idea for a brush handle.... and an equally fantastic execution of the idea!
