I have generic witch hazel and I keep hjearing about witch hazel with aloe. How much aloe could I mix in my generic bottle to get the desired effect?

I made a couple sample size bottles where I added Aloe Gel to the WH. There is a point at which it turns from a liquid to more of a gel, maybe around 1/8 aloe gel maybe 1/10. It's to your preference whether you want it more liquidy or gel like. It's your own desired effect.
It would take a few hours for the gel to mix in entirely vs staying a gel inside the liquid.

Add a bit of glycerin too and you'll get something that works as well as almost anything you can buy. If you want, add a few drops of your favorite scented EO to get a scented version.
Aloe gel has glycerin in it, fyi. Maybe not enough for some
Some might. Mine doesn't. Just checked to make sure I wasn't remembering that incorrectly.

I squirted some of our aloe vera into the 1/2 full WH bottle and shook it up last night. Nice effect. Still had the same feeling, but with a little moisture. Think I'll keep using this mixturw
