Wilkinsons Soap vs. Wilkinsons Shave Stick

I recently purchased a Wilkinsons Shave stick and love it. I like the scent and it makes very nice, thick lather (it's tallow-based, of course).

How does the Wilkinsons soap (blue bowl) compare - for anyone who's used both?

Scent similar? Is the soap in the plastic bowl also tallow based?

Thanks

although the blue bowl is a different scent and glycerin based it's still not bad, performs the same as the old black bowl, they've just given it a modern smell.

i prefered the old one as it smelled more like a soapy clean smell.

i take it the stick was blue, i've heard of a green one but never seen it (i know palmolive is green)

Having used both, the stick is great. The bowl soap has been relegated to my tool box for lubricating woodscrews, that's not to say it's abominable - it's just not worth using if you can get your hands on something that works (like the Wilk stick, Palmolive stick, Palmolive cream,...)

I guess I'll stick with the blue Wilkinson shave stick, then. I was hoping the soap in the bowl was the same/similar. The UFO shaped container looked kind of cool :^)

Interesting, I was curious about that...

I tried the stick for the first time this morning and, other than the scent is *very* mild, awesome soap. Funky smurf soap!

(I know, I know, old thread... But that's the information I was looking for..)

The stick is decent, comparable to Erasmic or Palmolive. The bowl is dreadful; stinks of cintronella and the lather is weak.

hmm...I guess I'm not in the general consensus here, but I think the stick is definitely sub-par to the likes of palmolive and speick.
