Why don't kids pull up their @#$ pants?

Every time I drive downtown I see teenagers with their underwear hanging out. First it was 2 or 3 inches of plaid boxers, but now its a full display of thightey whiteys. Amusingly, though, they're all prancing around like geisha girls because hey can't take full steps with their pants around their upper thighs.

I hope this "fashion" dies a horrible death... soon!

Sorry, complaining about what those kids are up to is a sign that you are now old.

I knew I had gotten old when I realised that the policemen all looked young. I'm just grateful they don't look so young as to walk around with their trousers halfway down their thighs.

A guy dressed like that threatened my son once, who is a mixed martial arts fighter. My son placed his foot waist band high on his pants and stepped down. The guys pants went straight down around his ankles, stopping him in his tracks. Game over.

I don't know but I do know that some police officers prefer this style on gang bangers because when the young perps start to run, their pants fall down and they trip, making them easier to catch.

I've seen it happen a couple times on a few episodes of cops, never fails to make me laugh.

My understanding is that it's a prison style. In prison they don't give you belts for fear of suicide attempts, so guy's pants are loose and falling down. That's what I've heard.

I think it looks silly, but more than anything else, it looks uncomfortable. I run the Brooklyn Bridge in the evenings and I regularly see guys walking across it with their pants like this. Walk is an exaggeration. It's more of a waddle. I can't imagine walking 50 feet like this. The bridge is 1.13 miles in length.

I think it's stupid, but like someone said, when I was a kid, I dressed stupidly, as well. I had the massive, wide leg JNCO jeans and the wallet chain.

Apparently Columbus Day makes people particularly irritable!

My 13yo son does this. He knows I think it's silly, he has even gotten detention at school cor 'sagging' his pants. I combat my frustration by taking pictures. Lots of pictures. I'm sure his future girlfriends will get a good kick out of his unfortunate style choice.
