What's new

Who wants to see my Le Coq Razor?

Le Coq Razor that is, Now that we cleared that up :sneaky2: LOL

This is my First Le Coq Razor I Acquired, I tried several times but never bid high enough  OH well.

Here it is, Its a Single Edge and The Hand is Solid, Looks like an Gem Handle but a lot longer, It is a Solid Well Made Le Coq Razor, Came in a Nice Dark Navy Blue Box, Interior is Bright Orange With some white stitching on the edge of the inside of the box Top and Bottom Edges have stitching.

Also came with 2 Blades and 3 blade holders, One of the blades has a gold wash over the Le Coq Name. The French made some nice Razors. To Bad this one does not take Modern Gem Single Edge blades, It could if i adapt some kind of Extra Lip that clips onto the spine of the gem blade so when its closed shut the blade would stay in place and not be loose )

What do you Guys Think of it ?

Is that all there is to it? It sure is a tiny little thing. HA! In all seriousness, beautiful razor my friend!
Hey Shaving Bacon, I'm sure with this bad boy you can Shave some Good Bacon LOL

All in all its Pretty Big in Size not a Small SE at all. The only issue i have is that i would have to have these Razor Blades Honed and Stropped before i could use this Razor, Oh and Sanitized as well. Unless i decide to make the Adaptor for the Spine of a Modern SE Blade )

Recently from ebay.fr? That's a beauty!:biggrin1: I've seen a couple of nice specimens, but already have 2 Westers of similar pattern, so...

I did find a Le Coq adjustable, a month ago.

It won't clip behind a spined Gem? If you put a piece of electrical tape on the handle, to protect the clasp, they sharpen beautifully on a Norton Combo, and whippeddog has the small (cheaper) sections.
